Addictions come in many shapes and sizes and levels of intensity. While some can have more severe consequences, addressing additions to foods and chemicals is a necessity to taking control of your own health and wellness. Many foods and plants – such as caffeine, tobacco, breads, hard drugs, alcohol, sugar, and certain sweeteners – can create chemical dependencies, and all of this may originate in the liver.
That means the first and one of the most crucial steps of breaking free is to detoxify and cleanse the liver. Alkaline calcium can help bind bile acids and prevent fatty liver. Colon and tissue cleanses are also very important parts of the process.
If our bodies are lacking in sufficient enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, that may also play a part in certain addictions. Stevia, blue agave, Yacon Syrup, maple syrup, honey, molasses, and other natural sweeteners are good substitutions for sugar, which should be restricted in a diet, especially when dealing with addiction. Magnesium, potassium, calcium and zinc should all be included in your diet as well to ensure healthy levels of each to be used by your body’s systems.
Fighting cravings can be helpful on your journey to break free of certain addictions and Thieves oil blend has been helpful in helping curb them. One or two drops on the tongue can be sufficient at the time of need to stop the onset of a craving. Others have found help with straight Cinnamon Bark or Black Pepper, especially when combating an addiction to tobacco.
To help detoxify the liver, JuvaTone, JuvaPower, and JuvaCleanse may be used long term. They help suppress the addiction and eventually can change the addiction blueprint in the cells of the body.

Application & Usage:
Aromatic: Diffuse recommended calming oils to calm the nervous system and bring comfort as well as help take the edge off cravings.
Dietary and Oral: Take supplements as directed on packaging. For suggested essential oils, choose your preference of:
- Take 1 capsule with desired oil(s) – 1-3 drops – 2 times daily.
- Take 2-3 drops of oil in a spoonful of syrup or honey, or in a small amount of milk, juice, Ningxia Red, or water.
Topical: Follow dilution recommendations when necessary (see label of oil) with your preferred carrier oil and then:
- Apply 1-2 drops neat (undiluted if not a “hot” oil) on temples and back of neck 4 times daily or as desired.
- Place a warm compress with 1-2 drops of chosen oil over the liver (again, if using a “hot” oil, dilute as necessary).
