Hiccups are caused by involuntary spasms of the diaphragm, often triggered by indigestion or a full stomach. While they can be frustrating and hard to shake, essential oils offer a natural remedy to help relax the diaphragm and soothe your system. In this lesson, we’ll explore essential oils and techniques that can help you quickly relieve those pesky hiccups.

Essential Oils for Hiccup Relief:

  • Cypress: Helps relax muscle spasms and calms the nervous system, reducing the frequency of hiccups.
  • Tarragon: Known for its ability to relax muscle spasms, tarragon also aids digestion, addressing hiccups caused by indigestion.
  • Peppermint: Calms the digestive system and helps relax the diaphragm. Add a drop to water or inhale directly.
  • Lavender: Soothes the nervous system, helping to calm your body. Diffuse or inhale to encourage relaxation.
  • Chamomile: Its antispasmodic properties work to reduce diaphragm spasms. Massage diluted chamomile oil on your chest and throat for relief.

Application Tips for Hiccups:

  1. Vita Flex Point Stimulation: Apply one drop of cypress and one drop of tarragon to the end of your index finger. Place your finger against the esophagus in the clavicle notch and gently curl inwards and down, stimulating the area.
  2. Topical Application: Dilute the essential oils 50/50 and apply them to your chest and stomach for relief.
  3. Internal Use: Place a few drops of any of the recommended oils in a veggie capsule and take twice a day to help prevent hiccups from returning.

By using these essential oils and techniques, you can naturally alleviate hiccups and calm your body, making them a thing of the past!
