DIY Elderberry Syrup

ELDERBERRY SYRUP is amazing for immune support. I kick it up a notch with Essential Oils (shocker, I know šŸ˜‚)

Hereā€™s how I do it:

YOU WILL NEED:

  • A big stock pot
  • Fine Mesh Strainer
  • Large bowls
  • Wooden spoon
  • Mason canning jars
  • Andā€¦.

BIG BATCH (Makes 14-16 8oz canning jars)

  • 4 cups Organic dried Elder Berries – https://amzn.to/2ScN3Dv
  • 16 cups filtered water
  • 2-3 Organic Cinnamon Sticks
  • 20ish Organic Cloves
  • 2-4 Organic Star Anise – https://amzn.to/2qaXDhq
  • 4 cups Raw Organic Honey
  • 20 drops Copaiba Vitality
  • 10 drops Thieves Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Clove Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Frankincense Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Orange Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Lemon Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Ginger Vitality
  • 2-4 drops Lavender Vitality

(*Vitality oils and Regular Label are the SAME oils)

SMALL BATCH (Makes 3-4 8oz canning jars)

  • 1 cups Organic dried Elder Berries – https://amzn.to/2ScN3Dv
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 Organic Cinnamon Sticks
  • 4 Organic Cloves
  • 1 Organic Star Anise – https://amzn.to/2qaXDhq
  • 1 cup Raw Organic Honey
  • 5 drops Copaiba EO
  • 3 drops Thieves EO
  • 1-2 drops Frankincense EO
  • 1-2 drops Orange EO

(*Vitality oils and Regular Label are the SAME oils)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add Water, Elderberries, Cinnamon sticks, Clove and Anise to a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat and simmer (do not cover pot) until liquid is reduced by half (45+ minutes)
  4. Remove from heat and strain through fine mesh strainer
  5. Use wooden spoon to press all remaining juice from the berries
  6. When not steaming, but still warm, whisk in honey
  7. Add your desired oils
  8. Pour into canning jars
  9. Seal and place in fridge
  10. Boom, done!
