Breastfeeding is a beautiful journey that offers countless benefits. It strengthens the bond between mother and baby, provides essential nutrients, and boosts the baby’s immune system, protecting them from infections and diseases. Breastfeeding also promotes emotional connection and supports healthy growth and development.

But what about common breastfeeding challenges???

There ARE oils that can help improve blockages to breastfeeding!

Dry or Cracked Nipples (dilute 50/50 and topically massage over breast):

  • Lavender… known for its soothing properties, lavender oil can help heal dry or cracked nipples. Dilute with a carrier oil before applying to the affected area.
  • Other oils recommended… myrrh, geranium, sandalwood, and helichrysum

Lactation Issues (dilute 50/50 and topically massage over breast):

  • Fennel… can support milk production and help with lactation issues. Use in moderation and consult with a healthcare provider before use.
  • Other oils recommended… geranium and sage

Mastitis (dilute 20/80 and topically massage over breast):

  • Tea Tree… with its antibacterial properties, tea tree oil can help with mastitis. Dilute with a carrier oil and apply topically, avoiding the nipple area to ensure the baby does not ingest it.
  • Other oils recommended… manuka, clove, thyme, and rosemary

Additional Tips:

  • Drink plenty of water to support milk production.
  • Ensure your baby is latching properly to avoid nipple damage and promote effective feeding.
  • Take time to rest and relax to support your overall well-being and milk supply.

With the right support and remedies, you can make this beautiful journey smoother and more enjoyable for both you and your baby.
