• Granulosa Cell Tumor of the Ovary

Back in 2007 my mother in law had a softball size tumor on her ovary that ruptured during surgery. That tumor ended up being diagnosed as a granulosa cell tumor. Since 2007, she has had course of chemotherapy, pelvic radiation, complete hysterectomy and multiple surgeries to remove the recurrent tumors that attached themselves to the abdominal wall and other organs. She just recently had another surgery to remove another tumor that was attached to her ureter. The pathology came back as inhibin positive, estrogen receptor positive and progesterone positive. Her Dr is wanting her to start hormone therapy. She has been dealing with this diagnosis for about 18 years now…she has recently been receptive to holistic options and has tried to really clean up her diet and lifestyle. She is in the process of removing toxins from her home and daily life with help from young living products…..what are some other treatment options other than the synthetic hormone RX route?? He Dr has told her it would just be surgically managed at this point with no further education on diet and lifestyle changes.
