10 years ago, my husband got a root canal right after we got married. We didn’t know the issues with those then. Fast forward to today, he has a lymph node in his neck that fluctuates day to day in tenderness. Some days it doesn’t bother him, some it does. It’s on the same side and below the root canal. He’s seen our doc about it, who suspects it’s muscular. We have an order slip signed by him for an ultrasound. This was before we wondered about the tooth. What would be the best route for determining whether or not the tooth is the culprit? I want to rule out the tooth before we go to doctors that may say, “oh we should biopsy this.”

Lymph nodes swell when there is an infection nearby -and given the information you shared, there is likely one where the root canal was done. Your best bet is to find a good holistic dentist to help diagnose and treat it. I would also go through the dental courses in here and work on boosting his immune system so it can help clear the infection
