  swollen eye

  Anyone have any suggestions for a possible stye on the eyelid or possible insulation exposure? My son (he’s 20) has an internship/job at an airport and his eye is very swollen today (started yesterday). He tried hot compresses and went to urgent care just to have them look at it. The ophthalmologist has a two month wait!! Urgent care gave him a steroid/antibiotic ointment which he does not plan to use at this point. He’s far away in school so I feel helpless. To be honest – all his skin seems angry right now (he’s stressed) but this eye thing is freaking me out! Thanks for any suggestions.

  Hi Jen, I would first make sure he rinses his eye really well if he has not done so already. Then i would would use some lymphatic drainage techniques (youtube has useful videos) or gua sha around the area. He can also massage around the outside of the orbital bone with lavender and frank (not in the eye)
