Do I need to dilute topical application of Thieves on my 8yo girl and 6 yo boy? I have for years in jojoba oil, I just wasn’t sure if it was necessary?

My 5yo son has been complaining about his ear hurting for 2 solid days now. I immediately treated with garlic oil thinking it was an ear infection, but no relief.
